Went in not knowing how well this would really work, but for $10 it was worth the gamble. I’m glad I did – with a tiny bit of research to learn some tricks (use warm water before putting it on the stove) and following the instructions from the packet, my first cup turned out SO GOOD. I wanted to compare how my pour over would be against this, and now I don’t think I’ll be using my pour over nearly as much since the flavor was so much more prominent using this moka pot. As soon as I took my first sip, I knew I had to write a review. I made myself a latte (I already had a handheld milk frother) and added the half the amount of milk with half as much sugar as I normally do for my pour over, and it was still too sweet for me. Never thought that this little thing would also make me healthier!

This coffee maker is so good! The only thing is that you need a little strength to screw the top on, or screw it off, but other than that, it’s great. Coffee tastes great in it. I saw a pic of someone burning their handle. If you just adjust the fire to only reach out to the outer base of your pot, then this will never happen. If you put your flame on full blast and have it extended past the base, then you deserve to have a burnt handle. smh. Also… when it says it makes 6 cups, it really means expresso cups, not regular cups. I find that the 6 cup maker is maybe 1 cup of regular coffee. I have the 6 cup, but kind of wish i got the 9 cup instead. Regardless, this thing makes GREAT tasting coffee! Better than my kurig.

Terrible coffee maker. Filter size inappropriate and allows the coffee powder to contaminate the decoction.

I bought the 1 cup version of this moka pot as a starter and let me tell you that was the biggest mistake I made. The pot works perfectly and is sturdy and easy to use,the only regret I have is not buying a bigger size. Highly recommend this moka pot.

After working as a barista for several months, I quickly discovered that I was addicted to espresso, be that in shots, mochas, or lattes. However, upon seeing the price tag for espresso makers (and for drinks at Starbucks), I realized that I’d have to be creative to get my espresso fix at home.
I shopped around for alternatives and I quickly settled on moka pots. Something you don’t have to plug in? Something that’s cheaper and much less wasteful than a K-Cup maker or a coffee brewer?? Something that does espresso-style coffee (or close to it) that’s NOT $1000??? Sold! I resolved to give it a whirl, and looking around, found this maker.
I’m confident to say that this was a pretty good buy, especially if one wants to have a moka pot that doesn’t break the bank. It’s quite reliable and straightforward to wash, though there are a couple of things that do get in the way:
– First of all, the size (3 cups) is MERCILESS with handling. It’s definitely a little dance to try and get a good grip on the handle after it heats up. I usually wore an oven mitt when I picked this off the stovetop since I was sure I’d burn myself otherwise. – Second, the plastic handle partially melted over the stove when I put it too close to the center, so it’s pretty cheap in that regard. The rest of it’s solidly built though, and hasn’t rusted or anything despite my not cleaning it too often. – Most importantly, though, it’s a bit too small! While a lot of that’s on me, the other part of it is that the coffeemaker stays too hot to make myself another batch right away, to strengthen any drinks I’ve made.
Another thing that needs to be said, too, is that you’ve got to be a bit picky with the grind of your coffee as well. A moka pot needs a medium-fine grind – somewhere between regular coffee and espresso. I’d recommend you buy pre-ground coffee at first (Lavazza Qualita Rossa is a great one to start with) and if you’re willing to commit, then get a coffee grinder and go nuts!
With that all said, I’m likely to try and pick up a better quality one sometime soon that’s a bigger size now that I’m a full convert. Still, this is by no means a bad product, especially if you’re unsure whether a moka pot’s right for you or you have a college student budget.

Nice little moka pot. I use it with a Cuban style dark roast espresso, Make sure to google for the proper brewing technique for this pot. I liked it at first, but the brew quality improved greatly once I learned how to properly manage the temperature of the brew. I like strong coffee, so the 6 cup version makes one cup for me, and have two cups every morning. I AM TOTALLY TWEAKED RIGHT NOW!!!

A great investment, takes a little getting used to but once you do the coffee is great. The build is solid and it’s easy to use. Clean up is fast and simple. I’ll update if anything changes.

As a Dominican who loves coffee, the Primula Classic Stovetop Espresso and Coffee Maker has become an indispensable part of my daily routine. This Moka pot, also known as a greca, delivers rich and flavorful espresso that reminds me of the coffee I grew up with.
The design of the Primula Moka pot is both classic and functional. Made from durable aluminum, it heats up quickly and evenly, ensuring a consistent brew every time. The 9-cup capacity is perfect for sharing a morning coffee with family or friends, or for making multiple servings to enjoy throughout the day.
Brewing with this Moka pot is straightforward and reliable. Just fill the bottom chamber with water, add your favorite finely-ground coffee to the filter, and place it on the stovetop. In just a few minutes, you’ll have a pot of aromatic espresso with a rich crema that rivals any café.
Cleaning the Primula is also a breeze. It easily disassembles, allowing for thorough cleaning of all parts to maintain the quality of your coffee. Plus, its compact size makes it convenient to store when not in use.
The silver finish gives it a sleek and timeless look that fits well in any kitchen. Whether you’re a fan of Italian or Cuban coffee, this greca delivers authentic taste and quality with every brew.
For anyone who loves coffee as much as I do, the Primula Classic Stovetop Espresso and Coffee Maker is a must-have. It offers an affordable and efficient way to enjoy café-quality espresso at home. I highly recommend it for its excellent performance and ease of use.
