I’ve had these for a few days now, and I also have the Airpods Pro (2n gen) and the Bose QuietComfort II, and Bose 700s.

Airpods Pro – never bothered to use them, as I always felt uncomfortable that they will fall out, which of course they do sometimes. The Bose headphones are pretty much as good as it gets to wireless noise-cancelling sound, and these aren’t that – what these are, are workout earbuds that sync PERFECTLY with all your Apple devices and allow you to work or watch videos without covering your head.

I found that the small form factor vs headphones makes you feel more “free” and connected with your surrounding environment, whereas when I put my Bose wireless headphones on, it’s the best for “hunkering down” and getting deep focus work done.

I’ve done a lot of research on wireless earbuds and these simply seem like the best ones, if you want good sound AND secure fit in your ears. So, that’s why these are a solid 4/5 – they are pricey, BUT if you have $200+ to spend, you won’t be disappointed.

Let me preface this review by saying I preordered these and have only had them for four days now. Typically I would wait longer to review a product, but saw the lousy reviews and felt compelled to tell a different story. I have no idea why these got 1 star. I know some technology has cult followings….an example might be Apple vs Android. I don’t know, I don’t get it.

So you know where I’m coming from I used the Apple AirPod Pro v1 before upgrading to these new Powerbeats Pro 2s. The AirPod Pro v1s were good until they were not. I had them replaced under warranty once due to a crackling noise that seem to plague those. It came back and the warranty had long expired. So for me it was either simply upgrade to the AirPod Pro v2 or look elsewhere. I decided to look elsewhere and consulted a gym friend who had the Powerbeat Pro v1s. He raves about them. I started looking online and the timing was perfect! I saw that I could preorder the newer version. So I quickly pulled the trigger after doing some research. I saw the AirPod Pro v2 go on sale but that was not enough to entice me to stick with them.
On a side note: My gym buddy also upgraded from the previous version and is happy with his purchase.
One of the reasons I was ready to move away from the AirPod Pros was the fit. When working out they would always come loose and slip out. The Powerbeats seem to have addressed that problem with the ear loop and man, do they fit and feel great on the ear…..you don’t even know that you have them on.
They sound great! They sound just as good or better than the AirPod Pros when they were working properly and this is no surprise as they are built on the same technology as the AirPod Pro 2s. The bottom line is they are both Apple products.
I haven’t used all the features since they are so new. For example, the heart monitor is cool but I have an Apple Ultra Watch that I work out in that tracks my heart. As I understand it the watch takes precedence when you are wearing both.
So again, this might be an early review but I felt compelled to share my positive experience. I’ll try to come back and update it as I continue to work out in them. If you are on the fence go check out some of the “professional” reviews from the various tech sights that review these products. They all give them pretty high marks.
    Fit and feel = A++
    Sound Quality = A+
    Battery life = A+

*I do not do reviews for a living and I paid full price for the earbuds.

I have no problem with how these sound but I returned them ultimately. They are frustrating because the design make them hard to wear. I could never get a good ear seal and my ears gets in the way of the vertical part of the earbuds. I could not get them to be comfortable in my ears and every time you try and adjust the fit you end up pushing the buttons and changing the mode or pausing whatever is playing. If you can’t get a good seal then the noise cancelling is wasted. I tried and tried but just couldn’t make them work for me.

Earbuds/headphones are for sound quality, focus on that beats. Heart rate is not a primary thing one will buy a headphone for!
    Plastic sound
    Bad noise cancelling

    I was expecting a lot I guess 😂

You have to try a range of the silicone tips to get a good fit. Use the Apple Ear Tip Fit Test (go in via Bluetooth and scroll down to find the test) to see which size is best and to make sure the silicone tips are inserted properly. Makes a huge difference!
My ears are small and so I tried the earbuds that came with and the two smallest sizes. The sound was tinny and I was about to return them with much disappointment. In desperation, on my treadmill, watching a show with scratchy sound, I put in the large silicone tips and yes, just yes. The sound is very good.
The Apple Ear Tip Fit Test verified that this is the best size for me to get a good seal.
And as I de-layer during workouts, they stay in my ears! Winter hats are another one where an AirPod will get stuck in my hair or fall on the ground. These are perfect.

I’ve been using the Powerbeats Pro 2 in Quicksand for a while now, and they exceeded my expectations! The fit is secure, making them perfect for intense workouts, running, and lifting—they don’t fall out, no matter how much I move.

The sound quality is crisp with deep bass, and the noise cancellation does a great job of blocking out distractions. Battery life is 🔥—I get hours of playback without constantly recharging. Also, the charging case is compact, making it easy to carry around.

The Quicksand color looks sleek & unique—a nice neutral tone that stands out without being too flashy. 🎧

If you’re looking for wireless earbuds that stay in place, sound amazing, and work great for workouts and daily use, these are 100% worth it!

✅ Pros: Secure fit, great sound, strong battery, stylish design
❌ Cons: Case is a little big, but still portable

💯 Highly recommend for fitness & everyday use! 🚀

Before I give you my review, let me give you my prior experience to earphones and headphones. I own the first AirPods, AirPods Pro, Beats Solo pro, Powerbeats pro, and sennheiser beyerdynamic DT 770 pro (for producing). Nothing too crazy, but I understand sound a little more than the average consumer.

Of the products mentioned above, I use Powerbeats Pro about 95% of the time. The sound profile on the Powerbeats are of the highest magnitude in MY opinion. I like the higher end bass, and I just have a firm belief that they got the overall sound just right. I would use the Powerbeats even if they didn’t have a hook over the ear for a firm fit. It just so happens I’m physically active so these earphones are the best pair I’ve ever owned. Of course there is the minor charging problem and other small nuisances, but the sound has always been a 10/10, and that’s what really matters.

I heard about the Powerbeats Pro 2 a few days ago and was excited. They finally make a sequel to my all time favorite earphones. I ordered immediately. As my order was on its way, I began reading about negative reviews on the Powerbeats pro 2. I wanted to experience them for myself nonetheless.

When they finally arrived and I used them, I was led to one of the biggest disappointments relative to sound. They sounded like $5 earphones. Why would Apple change the sound profile on brand name beats, I have no clue. There was a reason people buy beats over other brands, it’s because we know what we are getting. These are not Powerbeats, these are a prototype to apple’s next product, the AirPod pro 3’s.

As someone who would die on the hill of Powerbeats Pro 1’s being the best, and still the best, on the market, Powerbeats Pro 2’s have taken 1 step forward with the heartbeat sensor and ANC, but 4 steps back with the sound. Everything comes 2nd to the sound, and Apple made sure of that.

To summarize, do not get these. If you ever consider beats earphones, get the Powerbeats Pro 1. They’re much cheaper than before and I will be sticking to these for a long time.

I recently returned apple ear pods as I found them extremely uncomfortable. I’ve had the beats headset style for years and love so thought id try the new Pro 2 version as I wanted something smaller for travel. First of all, I cannot say enough about this amazing orange color, it’s so nice. They come with 5 tips and the small option fits great so far. I’m not getting discomfort or the feeling that something foreign is in my ear. Sound is what you’d expect from beats- great base. The one thing with beats (both mine are the noise cancelling) I find people around you can hear the music. I also find the buttons much easier to use compared to the apple pods. I would suggesting playing around with the tips for the right fit, you won’t get noise cancelling without a good fit, I see some negative reviews on this and is was my initial thought too but then changed the tips and much better. My SO is a tech guy and he is really impressed with the quality. This is my first day with them and I know they were just released. Will update my review after more use. Although they are expensive, so far I’m much happier with these than the apples ones I had purchased and would recommend.
